I'm a great fan of PV's novels; however, this one was a bit disappointing. The chareacters have no dpth and even the storyline is a bit wishy-washy. I'm hoping her next novel will have more to it and be a real saga like some of her former ones.An easy read. Expect to be entertained but not excited about the novel.

a very childish book did not realise it was short stories. Novels and short stories are 2 different forms of writing stick to novels please

An Okay read but nothing to get your teeth into really. Great to pick up and have a quick read and then put down again until the next time.
This book has several short stories which are very different but meaningful. Families and their stuggles and success make the book a keeper

A disappointment since I had already read another short story book by Penny Vincenzi called Love in the Afternoon and other Delights and thought Delights was another book entirely. It turned out to be a repeat of the same stories
I was expecting her usual type of novel that would keep you turning the page. Did not realise that it was going to be short stories.
I would recommend it to people who do not like long drawn out stories or who are in hospital or maybe give as a gift to introduce them to a new author as the stories not bad in themselves I did enjoy them.
